Understanding status updates

When a Meridian Enterprise user requests a document status update, the following steps are performed:

  1. The GCF Collaboration Status extension gets document status from SQL Server tables and the Project Portal site using GCF Remote Access and the Project Portal Web Service. The extension can also run the commands Claim Ownership and Get Latest Version. The commands are scheduled in a SQL Server table for further processing by the Project Portal export processor.
